PERMANENT MAKEUP AFTERCARE

Following your proper aftercare is very IMPORTANT to achieve the best results. You must follow the steps below EXACTLY so that your permanent makeup heals to a nice and natural color that will last. Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected.

The purpose of the touch-up visit is to correct any color or shape issues. Please review the following directions and refer to them as necessary. If during your healing process you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

BROWS:

AFTERCARE STEPS

DAY 1: Dab brows with the cotton pads included in the aftercare kit every hour after the procedure for 3-hours. You must dab more often if you were a bleeder. DO NOT get the brows wet or sweat at all today.

DAY 2-14: Lightly dampen a clean cotton pad with water and clean the brows gently twice a day. Wipe softly in the direction of the hair growth without forcing the skin then pat dry with a clean dry cotton pad if brows are still damp. Follow up with a very thin layer of aftercare cream provided in the kit with a clean q-tip.

  • DO NOT apply excessive amounts as this can suffocate the skin and delay healing.

  • It is forbidden to use anything other than the aftercare cream to be applied to the brows.

  • DO NOT: pick, rub, itch, touch, sleep on or get the brows wet during the first 10 days. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color.

  • NO facials, Botox, chemical treatment, or microdermabrasion for 4-weeks.

HEALING PROCESS

DAY 1: You may experience swelling and tenderness in the area soon after the treatment. Eyebrows will be up to 50% darker and more intense in color.

DAY 2 - 4: Eyebrows will get darker and darker, this is part of the flaking/scabbing process. Eyebrows may begin to scab and hair-strokes will feel raised when touched. You may feel itchy, it is CRUCIAL that you do not pick or scratch at their eyebrows.

DAY 5 - 10: Scabbing/flaking will occur until all the scabs come off. Itchiness should be minimized once all scabs have fallen off. Keep in mind once your scabs have fallen off, your brows may appear lighter, color may have seem to disappear. This is normal as the color will come back.

DAY 11 - 40: Pigment will resurface to the skin and touch-up will be conducted at 6 - 8 weeks mark.

LIPS:

AFTERCARE STEPS

DAY 1: It is very important to remove the lymph fluid from the surface in order to avoid heavy scabbing. Right after the procedure, clean lips with saline spray using cotton pads every 30 minutes until bedtime. If the lips still have some dry lymph at the end of the night, wash with lukewarm water to gently remove the dry lymph, and pat dry.

DAY 2-14: Washing your lips carefully after any eating or drinking (I recommend straws only the first few days if they are willing) no spicy or overly salty foods at least until peeling is complete. Apply light layers of ointment when they feel dry, do this until it scabs off completely.

  • DO NOT: stretch the lips! Avoid biting into large sandwiches, etc. Cut food into tiny bites.

  • DO NOT: get lips wet for 7 days, no kissing, no smoking, no facial while it's healing.

  • Keep moisturizing your lips if needed (If the lips feel dry).

  • Avoid irritation from salty, spicy, and oily food.

  • Use a straw while drinking as the lips are healing.

  • Put on ointment to seal lips while brushing teeth and use the straw to swish your mouth with.
